Check Printer "out of paper, jam"

Hello guys,
I have an asp.net web form that prints a report. then writes a registry in a log table in the database.
how can I check if the printer is out of paper or if there is a paper Jam in the printer ? because in this case I'm supposed to pass the printing and the registry log.
Simply, I need to write a function that checks the if default printer is out of paper or has a paper jam !
