Hello all, i have an issue which i need help with. The problem is one of formatting a date properly. I know similar questions have been asked many times but i haven't found the answer yet.

Simply put i wish to format a date/time in a gridview. I have been able to achieve this for ie7 and friefox using:
 <asp:BoundField DataField="InvDate" HeaderText="Date" DataFormatString="{0:d}">
<ItemStyle Width="70px" />
</asp:BoundField>

However the above html doesn't work with earlier  versions of ie. In these browsers no formatting occurs.

 I have tried adding HtmlEncode="true" into the field tag as i had heard that it can work if html encoding has been disabled, but it has had no effect.
 I hope that there is a simple solution for this, because its really beginning to annoy me. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
