After I upgraded a web application from .net1.1 to .net3.5, there are a lot of ?Event code: 4005 Event message: Forms authentication failed for the request. Reason: The ticket supplied was invalid.? in event log.
The application is running on win server 2003 R2 web farm.
I added machinekey to all servers machine.config in net2.0/config folder and each application web.config in all servers:
<machineKey validationKey="?.. " decryptionKey="?.." validation="SHA1" decryption="AES"/>
The errors are still there. Did I miss something? Do I need to set the decryption to 3DES because the decryptionkey with 48 characters was generated for .net1.1.
