Heres my situation, right now we use AD and Sql server for our authentication. The web app is internal only but have alot of desire to make it available to the
world. Since our company is fairly big its tough to get anything in place rather quickly and they are relatively new to dot net world. So here are my questions:
1. What steps do I need to take in order for my web app to be available to the internet. I'm sure I would need to register a domain name for the app. We already have our
company site on the web. So the domain name would be something like http://myapp.domain.com, correct?
2. Do I need to use AD? Would it be better and quicker to not use AD and implement a login page to just check Sql Server?
3. We could use certs to make the site more secure, correct? So instead my url would be https://myapp.domain.com.
