How to convert a subfolder into an Application ?

Hi,

I am using ASP.NET Web Development Server instead of IIS as my local server. I have a need to convert a subfolder inside my root directory into an "Application". I know this can be done in IIS. But is there a way I can configure the same thing in the asp.net development server?
