how to convert textbox.text to integer type

hi all..i am getting a syntax error..when i try to run this code snippet..








Dim int_ID As Int16 = Convert.ToInt16(e.Item.Cells(3).Text) ''''''''''''''''''this is where i get syntax error








is there any other way to convert e.item.cells(3).text to integer type
