I have two calls from javascript to a web service on my page. The first one, succeeds as I expect it to and runs through the success method when it returns.
The second one immediately jumps to the fail method and shows the alert coded there. But, behind the scenes, the web service method is also called and runs correctly. I can also run the web service method by viewing the asmx file directly in the browser.
I would think that if there was something wrong with the call, the web service would never see action, but it does. I checked the spelling of the success method and the fail method is spelled right because it is getting called. (I had spelling issues cause hours of debugging when I first started using this process.)
Here is the js:
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// Send Fax
function SendFax() {
