Hi all professionals,
I am currently designing a database that is going to deal with a lot of requests and I need for it to be able to deal with lots of records.
I am unsure whether I should go with one database to hold everything or numerous databases to hold different sections of the applications data such.
I know this has been asked many times but no one has been able to post the advantages and disadvantages of both ways.
I am concerned mostly about security, scalability and performance.
Any links or articles would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for your help everybody
