During development I used the Web Site Administration Tool to set up security as per the numerous tutorials and videos. Worked great, what a wonderful feature.
Getting it to function correctly online is a different story. Nothing but one headache after another as I try manipulating the web.config to get this pig working.
Plus, using this convenient tool didn't write any of the segments to my web.config file I'm seeing in more advanced blog entries and articles (sigh).
I'm at the point I don't even know if I'm going in the right direction anymore. Has anyone else had trouble with this 'easy to use' feature of ASP.Net 2.0? Christ, I thought I was finally finished my application.
Any good tutorials hiding out there for this?
