Showing an image on my webpage ?

Hi everyone, I have a  server 2003  which I use to host my own small website. on the server is a whole series of pictures, What I'd like to do is show a series of pictures one after the other. I created an image control on the page and I load that with the picture I want to display. The problem I have is, as it updates itself I get an blank page for a second or two. I'd like to make the change instantly, how can I do this?
