I have an Intranet up and running - forms authentication - using ASPNETDB.MDF created within Visual Web Developer. I have various forms & reports that return data from a connection to our SQL Server (v 2005).Currently, I'm compiling user information from both sources through some "creative" (and possibly convoluted) solutions. I think it would be better to have everything on the same data server so I could more easily combine data. Here are my questions:
Is my assumption correct - that it would be easier to compile data if everything is on the same server? I can't add tables to our company records database, so would have to use a separate database for membership, but they'd both be within the same SQL Server.
What is the best process to move the existing membership info to the company server? (approx. 15 users - it's not fully launched)Originally, I tried setting up security on our SQL Server, and still have the tab ...
