I want text in textarea to come onto next line

Hello,
I am using <Textarea >
whenever i type anything it goes on and on without coming to next line....
I want the pointer to come automatically on next line as soon as 1 visible row of text area is written
Also, if  you know how to restrict character count for textarea plz check my this theread.... http://forums.asp.net/p/1287918/2480293.aspx#2480293
