Validation expression maximum digits

Hi i have the following validation expression
ValidationExpressin="[0-9]+(,[0-9]+)*"


i want to validate the number of digits without including comma, i have to ignore comma.
like 12,345857 --- total digits  8 invalid
234,4567 -- total digits 7 its valid,
can you modify the expression
