I am using Visual Studio 2008 and understand how to perform data access in window's applications well enough, but am having a hard time understanding how to access data in a website. I understand that in a window's application, you create an instance of the tableadapter or dataset (or both) that you need to use on any form you want to use them on. Is there any way to acheive a similar functionality on a website? I know that websites are stateless, but I believe you could store a dataset in a session variable if you needed? I don't want to bind the data to a control, I want the data available for me to alter in code like you can in a window's application. Is that possible...
