Response.Redirect results in Page_Load being called twice

When I call Response.Redirect, the page with this line on is requested a second time. On this second time its not a post back. It does this with Firefox and IE and also when using Server.Transfer.

 Any ideas?

 Ideally the first page would not do any processing after redirecting to another page...
