using .innerhtml to build a list

 I'm trying to use this code
 
 
1 For cnt = 0 To arrPhone.GetUpperBound(0)
2 Trace.Write("length pi " & phoneList.InnerHtml.Length)
3 phoneList.InnerHtml.Insert(phoneList.InnerHtml.Length, arrPhone(cnt))
4 Response.Write(arrPhone(cnt) & "<br/>")

  to output the contents of arrPhone into a simple list within phoneList, which is a DIV tag.
I assume this does not cause the index value to increment, so that each line added goes to the next index?
Lines 2 and 4 are just for debugging, to check that the loop is working and whether the length is increasing, which it isn;t.
