I have used the sphorium webdav framework to build a custom webdav server to go with the website / cms I am developing. most of its ok, but webdav only supports Basic/Digest authentication am I right? my cms uses asp.net forms authentication against the
AD.
I'm sure i could get the webdav server to process a forms ticket / cookie i got code in another app that does that so I am not worried about that. I'm effectively using this JS (below) on the client to get office to open the document: --> can't remember
where from but the js file is called core.js (may be sharepoint ;)

because its a word et.c is a seperate application it doesn't have any of the session information that the web browser does so the cookie is not present. at the moment I'm just using the basic authentication and they prompted for user ...
