Is there a working solution on how to add images as footer and header in itextsharp pdf, on maybe +-7 pages?

Is there a working solution on how to add images as footer and header in itextsharp pdf, on maybe +-7 pages?
This 7 pages a dynamically generated by the gridview, but I have changed it to a table now,
 what I can do, is to loop from the 2nd Page to the 9th page, which is bad coding because the pdf doc might be created with just 3 pages, and then here on my loop i have 2 to 9, and with this loop it always adds a new empty page and then prints an image to it, but skips all pages with the data/string from the database, and I also want to print a special footer on the last page of which the number is unknown...Please help guys...been dealing with this issue and I haven't found a perfect working solution....
Anyone who knows of anyway? Please help
