My client wants to create a cd with web content to give to his prospective clients. We plan to use 3rd party software to compile the web content to an exe file which can then be run from the CD. The catch is that he want's to require that the prospect fill out a form before the content on the cd would become available.The contents of the form would be captured to a database on his web server.
So far, my thought is that I would host the form on the server and display it in the default page on the cd in an IFrame. The processing of the form is easily taken care of on the server. Once the form is processed, the user would be delivered a passcode which would then enable the web content (the software allows us to password-protect the exe file).
So far so good but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get from displaying the passcode in the IFrame to running the exe file. Is it possible to link to the executeable on the cd via html without bringing ...
