accessing codebehind variable in aspx

hi all, i m defining a codebehind variable myname.Now, i m declaring a div tag in aspx.
I want this div tag to raise an onclick event.a function of javascript should be called when the div tag is clicked with the variable myname( which i declared in codebehind as mentioned above).uyt(name) is the javascript function that should be called.Its input parameter "name" should be the value of myname which i m passing thru div onclick event.
