is there any reason that the invalid postback error gets thrown on site when it is hosted on iis and not when its running locally?

I have put the site on iis through my machine so that it is accessible for testing. Now, on my machine i am not seeing any error. when accessed from another computer it throws an error the invalid postback error, which means i cannot even debug it. Any ideas?
