DataBound HyperLink Not Working

I have a hyperlink that gets its Text and NavigateURL properties from a table in SQL. I cannot get my link to be active. The URLs comming from the database are nvarchar type. I have tried numerous things, most recently this:
<li style="list-style:none"><asp:HyperLink ID="hlWebSite" runat="server" Text='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container,"Website","{0}") %>' NavigateUrl='<%#DataBinder.Eval(Container,"Website","{0}")%>' ></asp:HyperLink></li> With no luck. Is there a way to do this, this seems trival to me, since creating a hyperlink isnt difficult.
