to close popup window

Hai all
How can i close apop up window when i click on a button. but on the same time i want to redirect to another page .how Can i do it?
the code which i use is
    Button1.Attributes.Add("onclick", "return window.close();");
this code works ie its closing the popup window but it didint redirect to another page.
