Hi,
First of all, sorry if this is not the right forum, but I think it's the most appropriate.
I'm developing an ASP .NET Web site that, in some pages, connects to a Terminal Server Farm to open a WinForms application via Terminal Server Web Access. Users connect to my site from the internet, soy they are always anonymous, as seen from IIS (I use forms authentication).
Some of the processes they can start in Terminal Server can take hours (even days) to complete, so the users will quite likely close their Web browser before that processes terminate.
I need a way to redirect those users back to the Terminal Server session they opened in their previous ASP .NET session.
Of course, I will use the Database to persist Terminal Server session information, but I have to find a way to select the specific Terminal Server session to open from Terminal Server Web Access.
The only solution I've come up with so far is creating lots of Windows User Accounts, so I never open more than one Terminal Server session with the same credentials. Then, when the same (Windows Forms) user connects again, I only have to reuse the credentials I used the first time, so Terminal Server redirects me to the original session.
Do anyone out there know a way to get the Terminal Server Session Id to, in later sessions, connect to that very session? I don't like the "user account pool" solution because it complicates security,
