Hi
I guess I'm not the first one who misses the ComboBox and tries to create his own :)
I took the code for MS DataPicker and mainly replaced the Calendar object with ListBox, after some touches it started to work fine except one think.
After user makes a click on an item the popup object closes and the text of selected item goes to textbox. When the listbox shows second time the selected item still has the border indicating that is selected.
I tried to use
listBox.SelectedIndex = -1; but it does not work, however it works ok, if the listbox is not inside a popup object.
Also the aproach used here http://rekna1.spaces.live.com/blog/cns%21E0D428B1F49A71E7%21130.entry is wrong, cause if you set
listBox.ItemsSource = new string[] {"unu", "doi", "trei", "patru", "cinci"}; then the SelectedItem is not anymore a ListBoxItem but string, so the casting done in Go to the complete details ...
