Problem with retrieving label value.....

Hi all

I have a parent page that opens a child page using iframe window

im assigning a value in a Label on parent page.

Page loads normally, but when im trying to retrieve the Label value on the child page. using below code

Dim labeluser as new label

labeluser = Me.Parent.findcontrol("labeluser")

Its giving me below error....

'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'

How can i retrieve the value of label in the child page

any ideas or solutions really appreciated.....
