textbox changes color in table cell

Hi

I have a table and have a textbox as an input field.  The color of the textbox is defaulting to beige.  If I take out the <td>name</td> in order to make the textbox appear in the first column, it is white, as soon as I put it back in the second column, it is beige.   Even if I add a backgroundcolour to the textbox - when I run the application it flashes the background colour but then when the page displays it is beige. Both the TBName and the TBEmail are displaying beige, the multiline TBQuery is white.  I have taken out all references to styles.

 Any input would be appreciated.
