google places javascript working in html but not in asp content

Hi all, I am new to the forums but hope I can contribute.  I have a problem which has to have a simple solution.  I saw a cool javascript example using google places autocomplete api to auto populate some textboxes.  Everything works fine until I start to referrence a MasterPageFile and place the markup inside asp:Content tags.  I have checked for javascript errors and there were none so I created a javascript error in the js on purpose to see if firefox was loading the js file but it appears that it isn't.  I am not calling the script right or am not pointing the js to my element id correctly.  I have this question posted here at stackeroverflow:
