the first code block works just fine when the button is clicked, even though popups are blocked in the browser, the popup window comes up
however when trying to accomplish bringing up the same 'window' with the same js function in code behind as part of postback logic, see 2nd block of code, the popup gets blocked. So somehow there is a difference when initiating 'direct' from the page vs
initiating from code behind? Is there some way to make the popup work from initiating it from code behind?
perhaps someway of putting a hidden button and then using js to simulate the hidden button being clicked, but all that only when the page is 're-rendered' from the post back? even though this seems like a mangled solution
