We currently have a Small Business Server 2003, which essentially comprises Windows Server 2003 + SQL Server 2000.
It is running as a pubic web server.
We are considering moving to a cloud computing environment. The service provider will give us Windows Server 2008 and SQL 2008 Express.
Our database is approx 1.2GB and is only accessed by ASP (not ASP.NET) applications, and directly via MS Access for some manual table updates.
Is there any reason why we wont be able to use SQL Express ? What is involved in transferring the database accross ? Is it just a question of detaching in SQL2000 and attaching it in SQL Express ?
