I am new asp.net. I am trying to put security around a website using windows authentication but manage the roles using sql. For example, if someone wants to log into a site using windows log on as well as the check the role of the user against sql and then give access to the site accordingly. Can anyone please help me as to how to connect to the sql database and how to validate the user with the role using their windows login id and processing the site accordingly. Any suggestions?
