How to Pass a Variable - New and Stuck (C#), Please Help

Hello,

I am stuck on a very basic concept.  I need to pass a variable from an aspx page to a class.cs page and I am totally lost on how to do this.  I have figured out how to create methods that use stored procs to get information but in this example I want user info (not from a stored proc).  Example:

 In my aspx page, let's call it Test.aspx I would use the following line of code to return the current user:

 string UserName = User.Identity.Name;

 I want the value of UserName to be available to my class page, Class.cs.  I would like this to be available to all the methods in my class (member variable?, class variable?).  How do I pass the information?
