Nested ListView editing issue

 Hi,
       I'm using ListView in a nested style.
       ie. listing managers and their employees. My listing page contains a listview listing only the managers.
      once we click on edit for a manager, I need to display all employees under his guidance in another listview.
      I accomplished this by adding a Listview in the edititemtemplate. 
      1. How can I assign a datasource to this?  ie. is there any method in the item editing event to set datasource of a listview in the edit item template?
      2. How can I edit/add data to this inner listview?
      I'm using this ListView for the first time. Any help is appreciated.....
