Click event on a child.

This is mind boggling. I am not able to capture a click or select event on a child node of a treeview control. Nothing happens and putting break points take me nowhere .. i am just not able to capture a click event on a child node. While clicking a parent node fires up the TreeView1_SelectedNodeChanged event... nothing happens for a child node click... how can run custom code for a child node click?  I have tried reading and researching online, but no answer so far.. any one knows how to do this? please help.
