I'm shocked.  I have created a Web User Control (ascx) to provide selection fields (textboxes and drop-down lists) for a List View on the aspx page.  Thought this was a great implementation to replace include files in ASP.
But then I tried to configure my sqlDataSource (StoredProc) using the textboxes and drop-down lists on the Web User Control.  But they didn't show.  I had to chuckle.  I guess I suspected that using the Web User Control would mess up the real user friendly datasource designer.
I checked some sites and there didn't seem to be a way of defining the datasource and prarameters using the graphic user interface.  I guess I will create hidden text boxes on my main page and populate them on the [display] buttton.  It just about makes using the Web User Control for entering selection criteria inpractical.
TOO BAD!
Is there a better way to do this?
