dynamically creating textboxes and getting values

I have a drop down list that allows users to select which table they want to insert/update/delete records. There is an insert button that programmatically creates labels and textboxes in an asp.net table when it's clicked.  The asp.net table is on the aspx page.  There is a save button that inserts the record into the database using ExecuteNonQuery.  I thought of using the Page_Init event to recreate the labels and textboxes and then in the click event of the Save button I would pull the user input values from the textboxes.  The problem is that when the user changes the option in the drop down list, the Page_Init event is still getting the previous value from the drop down list and creating textboxes for the previous table.  Any suggestions?
