I have a program that works fine until the windows power options power down the system after it hasn't been in use. When you move the mouse or hit a key and the system comes back up the program screen shows, but as soon you try and use a function the program ends. The form is one that has several update panels, which are updated by a timer. On the form, I have a clock, which re-displays the time with each update of the timer and noticed that when the system comes back up the time shows, what I assume is the time the system powered down. I wasn't sure the errors had something to do with session variables and wondered if these variables are lost when the system powers down. Is there a custom setting I can use for the power setting to prevent this from happening?
