Hey,
What i am trying to find out is in regards to file uploads. Currently i am developing a website/application that uses a Content Management System to manage the website in the back end. As it is right now, i am developing/testing locally. However i am at the point where this week or next week i will be moving the application live to a test server.
This brings me to the issue of file uploads and when using the SaveAs() method requires a full file path. However i will be putting this on a ftp that i do not own, am i going to run into problems here, as i do not know the full file path? Will i have to ask my host to provide me with the full filepath to my directory?
As it is right now, sFilePath is a clear text string with the full file path in my application, will having the filepath as a clear text string in the .aspx.cs page pose a security threat?
FileUpload.SaveAs(sFilePath);
