I've created my own RoleProvioder and MembershipProvider. The latter is needed because I am having users regsiter using their email address rather than a username which is just a random guid.
I need to craft a user/role maintenance page for administration and so I want to be able to bind a list of users to an objectdatasource. I can do this as is with teh system collection but of course that just shows me guids.
So I created a GetAllUsers() method in my MembershipProvider class and used it as the parameters to my ODS. At runtime I get the above error. Now the MembershipProvider is in another project within the solution (under the namespace "XYZ.Common" and I specify the full name of the class XYZ.Common.XYZMembershipProvider in the declaration.
If I place the same code in another class within the main web project of the solution and reference it there it all works fine and does not complain. Any ideas why?
