I have created a webcontrol which contains a Formviews, sqlDatasource, and the obligatory buttons, but I am noticing a number of issues and your help would be greatly appreciated.
The control is a 'simple' message control that allows the webmaster to change the message on each page as he/she sees fit, so for instance the default.aspx will display a welcome message for instance based on the parameter that are passed into the query.
The first problem I had was that I had a class which inherited "button" so that i could change the appearence of the buttons, and when I click on the "edit" it doesn't activate the Edit Form, so I tried just using the default asp:button and that didnt work either so i made my class inherit linkbutton instead and now that works! Any ideas why the button class is not working in the web control as it worked previously when all code was within the default.aspx yet the button control works fine ...
