I am sure that this is a setup issue in IIS (7.5). My application uses C# as the code language and connects to a SQL Server DB, both the app and the db run on the same server. This is an internal site and dd, however I want to allow other remote sites access as well thorugh the network. I have Windows Authentication enabled (no others) and want to use the user account fromthe client workstation and pass that user through. When I login to the server using my account and run the app, I get an error on authentication for the application pool that the web app is set to use. That is also the user that shows up as the user making all the request. Two things, how do I force or use the account fromt he client. If I can use the account from the client, how do I configure IIS7.5 to use that? I have added the domain groups where I think they need to be but that does not change anything. The error is below:
