encrypt connectionStrings

encrypting connectionStrings in web.config is described like this on msdn online:

aspnet_regiis -pe "connectionStrings" -app "/MachineDPAPI" -prov "DataProtectionConfigurationProvider"


What I need, is to encrypt a connectionString in the web.config in (for example) C:\WebProjects\WebSite1\web.config on my development computer (no virtual path on a webserver).
I tried this: aspnet_regiis -pe "connectionStrings" -app "/WebProjects/WebSite1" -prov DPAPIProtectedConfigurationProvider"
What is the correct syntax of the command, which I need to run from Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt?
