Sharing Subroutine via Class File

Hi, I have a sub routine that I would like to call from multiple pages.  I created a Class file call MyClass and put it in the app_data folder as per the suggestion of Visual Studio and put the subroutine in there:
Imports Microsoft.VisualBasic Public Class MyClass Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Public Shared Sub Testimonial() do stuff.... End Sub End Class
In my page I reference it like this:
<% IBPClass.Testimonial()%> I'm getting "'MyClass' is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level.
I'm not sure if what I'm doing is totally wrong or if I'm missing just a small bit...??
