I wrote an ActiveX that reads the client MAC Address for security implementation and send it to the server. I put it in aspx page and call it at runtime.
I've tested it in my computer and it runs. It runs also in the server if I run it from the browser in the server itself, but if I run from my local browser the remote application (http://<serverName>/<app>) - the ActiveX always returns "0" instead of the MAC Address. I expects that the ActiveX will run in the local computer, won't it?
The ActiveX is installed both in the client computer and the server.
