I am building an application that I would like to authenticate based on our company's LDAP. The easiest way to do this is to use Windows Authentication. However, I want to use the custom roles I have created that fit naturally for this line-of-business. I am using the Oracle Role Provider that comes with Oracle Developer Tools for .NET. Everything is set up in the database correctly, and this works with forms authentication. However, when I use Windows Authentication, I am not sure which adjustments need to be made so that I can authorize users based up on my role provider.
I have found several responses on various forums that link to this article, but I am not clear about how to apply this to ASP.NET MVC (3). Any comments are most appreicated. Thank you.
