Connection to (localDB)\v11.0 works properly via SSMS and via a Visual Studio 11 VB compiled program running on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Server with Server 2012, Server Express and LocalDB installed.
LocalDB cannot be accessed either by SSMS or the VB program with SQL Express and LocalDB installed on a Windows 8 Tablet. The reason for the failure is unclear.
