I've an unusual request for validation and it goes like this:
I've got input fields that are currently being checked by RangeValidator control to ensure they stay within their range.
The unusual request now is to have range checking but still allow user to go through the process if they decided that they want to. The sequence of event goes like this:
1. User key in the out-of-range value.
2. Client script checks and displays the error message to ONLY notify the user.
3. When user press the "Insert" button, popup the message to prompt them if they want to continue.
4. If they want to continue, then the application will accept all the values but it will store information on which value is out of range.
5. In the details page, the results will be shown along with a message of which value is out of range.
I don't think any existing Validation controls can do this but I'm also thinking that creating a custom validator using the BaseValidator c ...
