Good afternoon everyone!
In the near future i am looking at making a e-commerce website. I have never developed a website that has an online sales/store. I would like to know from your opinions/experience what is the best/most effective and secure way to implement a secure online payment system.
Should i be using a 3rd party company to deal with online payment? i have been looking at hostexcellences merchant plan. http://www.hostexcellence.com/index.php/v2/pages.merchantAccount
Also, for a shopping cart, are these usually created from scratch or is it safe to use an already created plugin?
Like i said, i am a total n00b when it comes to e-commerce and shopping carts and could use all/any of your valuable experience.
