Problem when edit a record of DB using LINQ

I get the error "The left-hand side of an assignment must be a variable" when I run the following code 1

Now I have to use the following code

            if (result.Count() == 1)
            {
                result.First().CreateDate = myHD_ToDoList.CreateDate;
                result.First().Description = myHD_ToDoList.Description;
                result.First().DeskID = myHD_ToDoList.DeskID;
