I am trying to get my application to read a file with the list of users, passwords, and permissions. It is for my server application. Users would connect via my client application and the server would read the username and password. it will then read the file "authentication.txt" to retrive the user information. Here is a sample user.

^ admin
Here is a key:
"#" Username identification. The server would read the next 2 lines when it finds the user.
"*" User Password. This is where the user password will be stored.
"^" Permissions. There will be a permissions level so certain users can do certain things.
